Virtually Married

Terms of Use

Virtually Married creates personalised digital keepsakes for you and your favourite person. Please read these terms before using the service or buying a download.

1. Just for fun

A virtual marriage is an entertainment experience. Saying “I do” here does not create a legal marriage, civil partnership or other legal status. Our certificates cannot replace an official marriage certificate or be used as evidence for immigration, identity, benefits or any other official purpose.

2. Using the service respectfully

Use accurate details and only include someone else’s information with appropriate permission. Do not impersonate someone, send unwanted or repeated invitations, harass anyone, or use a keepsake to mislead others about a legal marriage.

Do not attempt to access other people’s private links, bypass payment checks or interfere with the website. We may restrict access where necessary to address misuse or protect other users, subject to applicable consumer rights.

Purchasers must be legally able to enter into the transaction, or have a parent or guardian’s permission where permitted. The minimum age for using the service will be confirmed before public launch.

3. How invitations work

The initiator provides the details and selects a vow. The recipient opens their private link and chooses whether to say “I do” to the same vow. No account is required. Creating an invitation does not oblige either person to buy anything.

Check names and the date before continuing. Keep private links secure: access is based on possession of the link, rather than an account password.

4. What you are buying

Certificate costs US$5.99 and includes one personalised certificate design. Celebration Pack costs US$8.99 and includes seven PNG files: Velvet, Timeless and Playful certificates, one vow card, one announcement and two matching wallpapers.

A Certificate purchase can be upgraded to Celebration Pack for US$3. The upgrade adds access to the pack; you do not pay its full price again. Prices are one-off payments in US dollars, with no subscription. The checkout shows the total before payment. Your bank may apply currency conversion or its own fees.

These are digital products. No printed certificate, frame or other physical item is supplied. Preview watermarks are not included in purchased files.

5. Payment and access

Either participant can pay. After a successful payment, both private links can access the purchased files. A completed purchase should not require another payment for the same access. Contact support if something appears wrong.

The payer receives a download-link email. The other person can also use their private link; email delivery depends on having their address. Messages can be delayed or filtered into spam.

Download and keep your files once they are ready. We do not promise indefinite hosting. If a technical problem prevents delivery, your rights are described in the Refund Policy.

6. Personal use

You may download your purchased keepsakes, print and frame them for personal use, and share them with friends or on your personal social accounts. Buying a keepsake does not transfer ownership of the underlying template, artwork or fonts.

Do not resell the templates or files, distribute them as a competing template product, or present them as official documents. You retain your rights in the personal information you provide and allow us to use it to deliver the service.

7. Consumer rights and service changes

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. See our Refund Policy for problems with digital delivery or purchases.

We may update the website and these terms. Changes do not retrospectively remove the contents of a completed purchase or mandatory consumer rights. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access; if an interruption affects your purchase, contact us for help.

8. Who operates the service

Virtually Married is the brand used for getvirtuallymarried.com. The legal operator’s name, business details must be confirmed before these terms are finalised. No particular legal entity or exclusive governing jurisdiction is asserted in this draft.
