Data deletion

You can ask us to remove personal details associated with an invitation, including when someone else invited you.

1. Request process

To request deletion, email hello@getvirtuallymarried.com. Requests are handled manually; there is no automatic deletion action on this page.

Contact us from the email associated with your invitation or purchase, give an order reference if available, and say what you want removed. If no email was provided for you, we will arrange another proportionate way to verify your request. Do not send passwords, full card details or identity documents unless a necessary and secure verification method has been agreed.

2. Shared files and links

An invitation and its keepsakes contain information about two people. Removing a name or deleting the shared invitation may also disable both people’s links and remove access to their shared files. We will explain the effect before carrying out a request and consider the other person’s privacy too.

Save any files you want to keep before requesting deletion. Deleting our copy cannot remove copies already downloaded, printed, forwarded by email or posted on another platform.

3. What may need to remain

Some limited order information may need to be kept for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. Where information cannot be deleted, we will explain what is retained and why. Backups and provider-held records may follow separate retention schedules.

The deletion workflow, backup handling and response timetable must be finalised before launch. We are not promising immediate or automatic erasure in this draft.

4. Related information

Our Privacy Policy explains the information we collect and how it is used. A deletion request does not itself request or guarantee a refund; purchase issues are covered by the Refund Policy.
